Dove Red White and Blue
Chocolate Strawberries
Transform a regular bowl of
strawberries into a festive, holiday dessert.
1 pound fresh strawberries
4 Chef-Series White Chocolate bars (total of 8-oz.)
Blue-colored sugar
Parchment paper
Wash and completely dry
strawberries.
For optimum results, temper
4 bars of chocolate in a
Dove Chocolate Discoveries (DCD)
Pro-Series Chocolate Tempering Unit. If you don’t own a
tempering unit, simply melt four bars of chocolate using
either the microwave oven method or the double boiler
method.
Holding a strawberry by the
stem, dip about half of it in chocolate. Give it a quick
twist, shake off excess and point at ceiling for a second to
be sure chocolate adheres.
Before chocolate dries, dip
tip of strawberry into blue-colored sugar (available in the
cake-decorating aisle of your grocery store).
Place on parchment paper to
set up and cool. If set up seems slow, place in refrigerator
for 3 to 5 minutes. Strawberries are best enjoyed the
day they are made.
