I created the award winning recipe for my signature piece, English Toffee, more than 20 years ago. For many years I gave my confections as gifts, to friends, co-workers, neighbors and family members.

But I became a product of our current economy when I lost my job in the spring of 2008. Searching for work was my job, but to no avail. So I decided to take that next step: I opened a confection business in 2009 from my home kitchen in my small Oregon community. That made perfect sense to me then, even though I didn’t have a website or a business plan. It was a mediocre start to say the least.

I did, and still do, an enormous amount of knocking on doors with a “Hello, my name is….”
hoping to pick up retail accounts.

Soon I established local, then statewide accounts. My confections won at the 2009 and 2010 Oregon Chocolate Festival. I participated of the 2010 Tony Awards, 2010 Emmy Awards, 2011 SAG Awards and the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. I have been featured in several Oregon publications. In July 2011 I was invited by Taste TV to enter my signature piece Gourmet English Toffee in the 3^rd Annual Best Toffee in North America contest.

I’m still at my stove daily and I’m working on a new toffee recipe. Although I don’t have a store front yet, my chocolates are available from my own Website and www.chocolate.com. When the time is right, my dream is to open a gourmet dessert boutique.

Chocolate Selections
English Toffee. A balance of bittersweet chocolate, roasted almonds, and a delicate, crisp center.

Gourmet Dessert Topping. Bits and pieces of English Toffee, Peanut Brittle, milk chocolate covered macadamia nuts, and semi-sweet chocolate covered cashews. Sprinkle on top of ice cream or add to cheesecake batter.
