The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotel
will display a life-size Chocolate Santa throughout December in the lobby of the Swan. The hotel’s executive pastry chef Laurent Branlard has created a sculpture constructed entirely of chocolate—approximately 1,200 lbs. of it. The sculpture will actually be an entire scene featuring a fireplace, armchair and Christmas tree. Branlard is the only two-time world pastry champion and renowned for his chocolate and sugar sculptures. Here are the numbers:

  • Preparation hours: 300
  • Dark chocolate: 880lbs
  • Milk chocolate: 132lbs
  • White chocolate: 154lbs
  • Cocoa butter: 120lbs
  • Calories: 2,956,818

December 11, Hillsboro, TX, Annual Holiday on the Square celebration in downtown Hillsboro. Proceeds benefit Christmas for Kids and Food for Families. This year’s event has a Victorian Chocolate theme, with participating stores offering different type of chocolate treats to. In addition, patrons are invited to vote for their favorite chocolate creation.

Hillsboro is midway between Dallas and Waco.
