The company’s food technologist, Greg Holtman, says that the product’s high quality whey protein was key to making its nutritionals work as a low glycemic option suitable for Type2 diabetics, with 70 percent fewer calories, fat and sugar than its competitors. Holtman says, “A number of school districts are looking at an uncoated version of our ice cream bars, which total only 30 calories each. The fat free, gluten free, all-natural product is suitable for lactose-intolerant people.” Arctic Zero’s chocolate-coated ice cream bars are available in chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and orange cream. Madelyn Miller, co-owner of Chocolate Atlas, recently sampled the 150-calorie Arctic Zero pints. “I had all twelve flavors sent overnight to me. They arrived frozen, even in 100 degree weather in Dallas. It was hard to decide what to taste first. I especially love the chocolate, chocolate peanut butter, and chocolate chip mint. Arctic Freeze is sweetened with a blend of cane sugar and monk fruit. I have calculated that I could eat 10 pints a day and still have a low calorie diet. It's like a delicious-tasting frozen protein shake you can spoon.” Visit www.myarcticzero.com. |
